Cahors Summer Fete

The Summer Fete was held at the home of Margaret Cross on Tuesday 30th July. Visitors found plenty to buy among the bric a brac; books and clothes stalls. Splat the Rat proved to be a game best suited to the young, as Darcey and Otillie from Margaret's family proved, sharing the prize, having both hit two rats. The girls also ran guess the number of sweets and the name of the bear. Dorrie Norris managed to guess both, as well as running the raffle. With many prizes on offer, not many were disappointed. With a wide selection of cakes, the teas proved to be a big draw. Louie took the reward as best behaved dog along with owner Sarah Costello, with Brodie in second place.

June made a presentation of 250 € to Jackie Malatov for Aide et Espoire.

The event raised over 1000 €. So a big thank you to Margaret for hosting it and all those who helped run it and made contributions to the stalls and the cakes.
