Kilimanjaro Days 1 & 2

Two days into my The Climb challenge and I’ve reached 5000ft. I’d be lying if I said it was easy! Day one was completed outdoors but really took its toll on my knees so today I decided to relocate to our very rickety sous-sol stairs. It was much harder on the thighs but my knees are thankfully feeling a lot better! It was such a boost to get in yesterday after several hours of walking to find that my fundraising target had already been reached. Thank you so much to those of you who have supported Tearfund this way - honestly it’s been the only thing that’s kept me going at times!

I’m hoping for another 2500ft tomorrow.

Day 2 Session 1 - 4000ft total
