The Goodbyes to June have started!

There was some dispute as to whether a record number of people attended today's Holy Communion service at Brens when we said our own goodbye to June Hutchinson who has ministered to us for over 17 years and has helped our congregation through times thick and thin. She will be greatly missed.

And it continued with our picnic lunch

After the service most of us moved on to Robin Johnston's house where we sat under the shade of his huge leafy pergola and share food and each other's company. Farewells to June continued with gifts of a card, some garden vouchers and a plant. It was a good thing that we had guessed that she might anticipate spending more time in her garden.

People shared their fond memories of June with her. These included a particular sermon, shared trips to Synod and personal ministry. Much as we wish her a long and lovely retirement, she is someone we will really miss.
